Website founder, Rick LoBello with school children in Veracruz, Mexico
Last month I had a great opportunity to reach out to school children in Veracruz, Mexico
where I told them the story of my journey to Africa to help mountain gorillas. I wanted them to know how they could work towards seeing their dreams come true and how my dream of helping this endangered species was a dream I had since High School.
In May of 2020 I hope to return to Rwanda to continue my conservation education and humanitarian efforts and to build new relationships with others working in the region. I plan to meet with staff at both Volcanoes National Park and Akagera National Park, Rotarians and NGOs. To help raise funds to support this trip I am promoting the book I wrote for the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International entitled “Guide To Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park: Home To Critically Endangered Mountain Gorillas. It is available on amazon.com in both softcover and Kindle e-book formats. Please consider buying a copy today. I hope to find ten people to join me on this trip. “One Earth, One Time” hopes to inspire people to make a difference by encouraging individuals, organizations and businesses to support humanitarian and environmental efforts already in progress, help to improve ongoing endeavors by encouraging collaboration, and for the countless opportunities and doors yet to be opened, help to facilitate strategic planning for new programs.
